I havent been playing badly, but more times than not i never had that clean crisp connection with the ball, always a fairly harsh crack...until..I started practice with impact paper stickers on the iron heads, it turns out i was always hitting the ball almost at the hosel, over and over again, as if the downswing trajectory threw my arms out further than address.
I now adress the ball at the furthest part of the club head, now every shot i make is dead centre and i have slowed my swing down and the ball flies miles
